It was a tight contest from beginning till the very end as both teams posed to be tactical and conscious of each others threat.

The opening minutes saw Remo enjoyed and pressed more on possession but the Blues defence was up to all sorts of pressure that they faced on the day.

Straight into the 14th min Remo went off in attack but the defence got it away for a corner kick.

Fagbayi playing from the left-wing was brought down for a foul in the 20th min as the forward became a constant threat from the flanks.

The best chance of the game came in the 23rd min as Edema found space to place a pass-through to Eya who was set up with the goalkeeper but his shot on meeting the ball went high off-target.

In the 39th min, Balogun's freekick was curled straight into the hands of Remo's goalie.

There were two minutes of added-on time before the halftime whistle was blown with the game staying goalless.

HALFTIME - Goalless at the break...

With a move forward Balogun tried to pull off a long-range which went high in the 52nd min.

A decent attacking move was put together by Remo with a series of well-calculated passes into the Blues box but the final hit was sent wide for a goal kick in the 55th min.

SUB - Nwocha came on for Alfred in the 56th min.

Penalty - Remo was awarded a penalty from what it looks like the Blues defender got his tackle wrong in the 58th min.

SAVE! Olutu Alaba was up to the task as he dived correctly to stop the spot-kick and denies Remo from taking the lead in the game.

Marvellous with some space from the edge of Remo's box in the 69th min attempted a shot but was well handled by the goalkeeper.

SUB - J.Blessing and Tomisin were a double change made in the 71st min for Marvellous and Edema respectively.

GOAL! Super-sub Tomisin six minutes after coming on sealed the winning goal for the Blues, as Fagbayi paced into the Remo box and touched passed on the ball towards the striker who controlled and curled into the far corner in the 77th min.

SUB - Gbadamosi and Oyeniyi came on respectively for Balogun and Eya in the 81st min.

Remo went for a last-ditch attack in the 88th min when a cross was sent in from the right flank but the forward's header went off for a goal kick.

Into the four minutes of added time, J.Blessing twisted his way into Remo's box but sent a weak shot into the goalkeeper's hand in the 93rd min.
