WORD SPURS 🗣
TIME TO BRACE UP.
With the latest result ending in a defeat over the weekend, Gbenga Omolaja who scored our only goal speaks on the game and why we need to get back to winning as soon as possible.Going a goal down into the first ten minutes didn’t suppress our composure as we did control much of the possession and created lots of chances to be able to get a win.Omolaja’s equalizer wasn’t enough to get us at least a point as we conceded a late goal which gave the visitors the whole three points. The Blues midfielder expresses his disappointment and a need to pick up real quick with our upcoming games.
Omolaja: ‘We went into the game for three points and was disappointed not to get that because we needed to start winning games. Our previous games as seen us drew more and we have only recorded two wins all season.
‘That isn’t the kind of result we want or deserve as we always work hard on the training ground to put the best performance out there.
‘There were games where we were in a leading position and in the last few minutes of the game we concede goals which we all know could have been avoided and then the whole points are missed.
He speaks more about the reason to get back to winning ways…
‘It’s very important for us to get back to winning games because that will help our confidence going into matchdays.
‘Also, looking at how the log stands at the moment if we go on a succession of wins it will push us right to the top and we can be able to put pressure on the teams ahead of us.
The midfielder expects the team to bounce back from the defeat and keep up a positive push till the end of the season…
‘We need to put our heads up and get back to work immediately, there’s no time to waste because we all know it’s time to brace up and keep working to make corrections of errors made.
‘Our aim is clear and that’s what we are working towards, we need to always have that behind our mind and keep pushing positively.
‘With the upcoming games, we need to show our commitment and zeal to get back to a winning mode very quickly, and hopefully, we can all make that happen as a team.’
