We Are Back At It.

Written by Adeboye Akinyelu.

Hi there,
It’s been quite a while but I am glad you’re reading this again from our end of the Eagle’s Aerie. It was indeed a long break after the last game of the previous season, which was when we lifted the Championship Cup of the TCC.
The team got back together about three months after the triumph at the Agege Stadium to prepare for the 2021/22 season which took another long haul due to some unforeseen circumstances before the season officially kick-started just this past weekend.
Just as you were I was also excited to see the commencement of the new season and yes it was worth the wait with the whole build-up to our official season opener.
With the Creative Championship league set to kick off in the first week of the new year, we were already thrilled with the season opener beginning with the cup games which we will be looking forward to defending at the end of the season.
Straight into competitive football, we ended with a 1-1 draw in our first game against the TCC new boys of Atlantic Business FC who has given us some insight as to how the league might go down next year. Oh wow, I am so looking forward to this.
Also, the Atlantic lads are the Blue Eagle’s opening fixture at the TCC come January, I will just leave this here for now while we concentrate on the rest of our upcoming fixtures for the cup games.
Did someone mention the Lagos FA Cup? Well, about that we’ve been drawn in the round of 32 against Iganmu FC with consecutive three draws against the same side this time there has to be a winner and hopefully we’ll take that win. The fixture is set to take place on Wednesday, 1st December and we look forward to that game.
Okay, so on a final note let’s wrap up with some news about the new intakes by the Blues. Seven players were announced over last week and six made their debut in our cup game with Sadik Ali being one of them, a left fullback scoring a superb debut goal on the day. Below are the names of the new lads who just joined the club:
Ademola Akibu (Forward)
Chinedu Ibeleme (Forward)
Ismail Adeoti (Forward)
Al-Hassan Badamasi (Defender)
Sadik Ali (Defender)
Stanley Okeke (Forward)
Kolawole Adebajo (Midfielder)
The 2021/22 season is up and running and we are back at it with full capacity to go all the way. We would hopefully be aiming to retain our Championship Cup title and going all the way up for the Creative league.
Until next time on the same corner see you soon and keep up with that Blue support.
C’mon You Blue Eagles!
