Deep breathe, now softly release, see that right there is a sign of relief. Well, oh well hello and welcome to the Writer’s end of the Eagle’s Aerie.

First of all, I want to congratulate the team, players and staff for being crowned champions of the League Championship Cup, it’s something they’ve all worked hard for during the season and that was some well-deserved victory.

You might still be having a little thought on why do we have to take a deep breath from the beginning of this article. Here it goes, we just won a championship cup and I am quite sure if you were on the ground at the game venue in the past week, that could explain it all.

Also, as I may have congratulated the team I need to send my most happy thoughts to the fans. After the past months, we’ve been shut away from watching the team play it was very nice to see everyone come around to watch the lads lift a trophy which was well dedicated for the fans by the club.

The Creative Championship League was a very well welcomed one which helped the team have an elongated season also aiding the group gel together in the bonding sense.

Finishing fifth on the log might not have been our target but when we put performances in focus there was an obvious improvement in several aspects of the team play which gives us a clear path going forward.

At some point, we headed out to Ikenne, Ogun State where we went to compete for a place in the 2nd Tier League at the NLO1 2020/21 season. Another slow start here saw us grew into the campaign which saw us finished third on the table.

Overall, the season wasn’t a bad one for the Blue boys of Gbagada as we could write out lots of positives from this very season. I mean a trophy at the end was that plus we all needed and doing so against a very decent team and right in front of the fans is all we could have wished for.

Till the very next time, make sure you continue savouring in this latest win as we hope for more like this in the future. Keep singing the glory because we are the Pride of Gbagada!

Champions!
