GBAGADA FC vs IMPERIAL FC

Our first home fixture of the year sees us play host to Imperial FC. Coming on the back of our recent draw in the last game, we would look to bounce back to winning ways as we search for our third win of the season.

ABOUT OUR OPPONENT.

Imperial FC is an Ogun based team established in 2009. They sit at the bottom of the log with two (2) points as they are yet to register a win since the opening day. Their last game ended in a heavy 7-0 defeat.

A DELIBERATE SHIFT.

The last game saw us come from behind to grind out a point against one of the most technical side in the league. Although, we can’t rule out the multiple chances that were created but weren’t converted.

With just two wins so far we would need to explore every end of this game to work out a win. Chances are falling through and attackers are finding spaces, the defense line is becoming more disciplined and concentrating in the final moments of games.

The wins need to be injected to boost more confidence in the team. A deliberate shift has to be put into the performances to activate an actual win mentality around the group going into games going forward.

ABOUT THE MATCH.

We play Imperial FC for the first time officially and this is both our first meeting in the league this season. The visitors are yet to record a win since matchday one.

The game will be played at the Agege Stadium. Kickoff is 10 am on Sunday 24th.
