One, two, three, four, five, six and seven months have gone by just like a flash since we last gathered as a group to kick a ball. Wow!
Hello everyone, it’s nice having you here and also having the boys back on the pitch. I couldn’t have imagined how hard it must have been for them not being able to practice and enjoy what they love to do daily.
We’re back to business as competitive football will be back in no time, a lot of work now has to be put into the training process. First of all, their fitness level has to be worked upon.
It’s been a few weeks since the government gave a return call to active outdoor sports but from the State level, we had to wait for some guidelines as to how we returned.
Fans as we may know, wouldn’t be allowed into the stadiums when competitive competitions resume against precautions of the COVID-19
In respect to fans, may we kindly use this opportunity in reflecting and having a few seconds silence in the memory of a great and loving fan of the Blue Eagles ‘Adeyemi Sunday’ who tragically lost his life a few days ago. Our thoughts are with his family at this time.
The boys got back together for the first time in seven months on Tuesday, and immediately the fitness routine process has begun. Time has flashed right in front of every when it comes to the year 2020, but we’ve to also remain focused.
In the coming weeks, there will be a lot to talk about as regards the team and everything we’ll be up to. I am also delighted to have seen us announce the introduction of ‘The Gbagada FC Foundation’ this is a very welcoming initiative that will serve our community.
At this time, I will be taking my leave and I will
be hoping to get back to you soon. Do stay safe and have a lovely weekend. Nice to have the lads back.
Come On You Gbagada!
